REVIEW: The Tea Republic @ Bangsar Shopping Centre

There are coffee people and there are tea people. If you prefer the former, then this article is not for you. Quaint and cozy with natural sunlight spilling through the ceiling high window panes, The Tea Republic at Bangsar Shopping Centre is the ideal place to waste away an afternoon by yourself or to catch up with a friend.

The Tea Republic offers a colorful selection of teatime favourites such as moist chocolate cakes, red velvet cakes, carrot cakes and macarons from RM3.80 onwards to go with your teas.

For those who are looking for a heavier but healthy meal, they also offer Roast Chicken or Tuna Wraps, Tuna Casseroles and Sandwiches.

The Tea Republic is popular for their tropical fruit teas served in delicately enchanting glass pots and saucers. We took a long time deciding on our teas because of the extensive selection but finally decided on the White Ginger Pear Tea (RM18.90) which tasted absolutely divine with a dash of sugar. Be careful to not let the teabag sit for too long because one tea bag should make two cups of tea.

Red Velvet Cake (RM9.90)

Victoria Sandwich (RM11.90)

Vege Carrot Walnut Cake (RM6.60)

To complete the whole experience cafe experience is the fact that they also offer homemade icecreams from our favourite brand, “The Last Polka” at RM7.20 per tub in flavours such as  Mango, Teh Tarik, Salted Gula Melaka and Green Tea.

If you, like us, cannot get enough of their teas, you can also purchase boxes of threes to bring home. All in all, The Tea Republic serves great teas and cakes that will have you coming back for more.

The Tea Republic is located at S132, Bangsar Shopping Centre, Kuala Lumpur
Opening Hours: 9.00 am-9.00 pm daily
