Sigh, when will our obsession with Hello Kitty ever end when we have all sorts of brands feeding to us the world’s most famous cat (sorry Maru) via material means! The latest Hello Kitty collaboration comes in the form of UNIQLO UT specialty T-shirt line by 10 different artists for women and children featuring the internationally adored feline.
UNIQLO will donate a portion of the proceeds from all UT Hello Kitty T-shirt sales worldwide to support Hellosmile, a global initiative to raise awareness about the prevention of cervical cancer with Hello Kitty as its mascot. Hellosmile donates funds to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The 10 artists who produced designs for the UT Hello Kitty T-shirt line support the aims of Hellosmile. The participating artists are cookieboy (Takehiro Natsuyama), Akira Ebihara, Chinatsu Higashi, Yuko Higuchi, Yuko Kanatani, marini*monteany, Toko Ohmori, Sachiko Maeda (Vida Feliz), Norika Seri and Utako Yamada.
The shirts will be available in Malaysia by mid-April so keep a look out for them! For more information visit UNIQLO Malaysia’s Facebook page here.
