On Your Side/ Log Position
This position takes the expression ‘slept like a log’ quite literally. Considered as one of the most popular sleeping positions, sleeping like a log comes with many attractive traits. If you prefer sleeping on your side, with your arms and legs extended and your body straight as a log, you’re probably sociable, easygoing, and trusting of strangers. However, you just might be a tad bit gullible due to your trusting nature!
On Your Stomach
Sleeping on your stomach, also known as the Skydiver position, is less popular than the previous one. For this, your head would be on one side, and your arms wrapped around behind a pillow. Sleeping in this position may indicate that you have a daring spirit and aren’t afraid to take risks. Even if you are a free spirit, you may want to exert control over a situation. Although it may appear to be a comfortable position for some, it is not the best position for your neck or back because it flattens the natural curve of your spine, which can cause strain and lead to back pain, neck pain, and airway blockage.
Fetal Position
The fetal position is where a person sleeps on their side with their legs curled up into a ball, like a baby. According to research by Samuel Dunkell, he observed that people who assume this position during sleep tend to be more anxious and emotional. More recent research has revealed that people who sleep in the fetal position may appear tough on the outside, but real softies on the inside!
Soldier
This one’s for the people who sleep lying straight on their backs. The legs are not bent, arms are not folded, as if you are standing like a soldier. If you sleep in this position, you may be a strong, reserved, and focused individual who doesn’t put up with nonsense! You tend to take yourself seriously, which means that you may have high standards for yourself as well as the people around you.
Starfish
The starfish is ranked as one of the least popular sleep positions, but there are some favourable traits for the people who sleep this way. If you prefer sleeping spread out, like a starfish, this may indicate that you value your relationships and are very loyal to your friends! Though you dislike being the centre of attention, you are an excellent listener and always willing to lend a helping hand.
