We girls dream of having flawless and glowing skin, and we never quit searching for the perfect skincare routine that will resolve all our skin issues. I mean, sure – everyone says “You need to drink plenty of water”, “You need good sleep”, or “You need to consider healthier food options.” But to be honest, drinking more water just makes me wanna pee more!
What I find fascinating are supermodels and A-list actresses. Their faces are pretty much covered with makeup most of the time, yet they have perfect skin! Like, how? What sorcery is this? Luckily for us, some skincare secrets of the world’s most beautiful women – especially supermodels – have been leaked, and we’re taking notes!
1. Sara Sampaio

Her take on skincare is that plenty of water and sleep help a lot. She always uses hyaluronic serum, vitamin C serum, and alters her moisturiser depending on the weather as part of her skincare routine. She uses a very thick moisturiser when the weather is dry. If the weather is hotter, she wears something lighter. She doesn’t exfoliate her skin very often, but she does make sure to remove her make-up every night.
2. Miranda Kerr
For Miranda, being consistent is key. She never goes to bed without removing her make-up and performs her morning and nighttime skincare regimens religiously. Miranda has two favourite products: KORA Organics Turmeric Brightening & Exfoliating 2-in-1 Mask and Turmeric Glow Moisturizer, an all-in-one moisturizing, brightening and anti-aging moisturizer. Apart from these products, Miranda enjoys a morning gua sha face massage. It helps to improve circulation, minimize puffiness, and lift and contour her face organically. She massages the Noni Glow Face Oil into her skin with the heart-shaped Rose Quartz Heart Facial Sculptor from KORA Organics. As for internal beauty, she starts her day with celery juice.
3. Heidi Klum
Heidi believes in good nutrition and water for healthy, glowing skin. She goes by the phrase ‘You are what you eat’. Here’s what’s interesting – she doesn’t use any sort of cleanser or toner for her face other than Johnson’s Baby Shampoo. She feels that anything that cleanses babies’ skin well is a good product. To exfoliate the skin, she uses St. Ives Apricot Scrub. And for the last step in her skincare routine, she uses Augustinus Bader Face Oil and Rich Cream.
4. Anja Rubik
Anja opts for organic products. For day cream, she uses Dr. Hauschka Rose Day Cream. She uses a moisturizing mask once or twice a week and favours Nuxe’s. At times when her skin feels dry, she would apply coconut oil on her face and body. Besides that, she has a cream made from bee pollen that she bought at a farmer’s market. Also, she never goes to bed without cleaning off her make up. For Anja, “There’s a bunch of great products you can put on, but a lot of it is what you eat and how you hydrate.”
5. Naomi Campbell
For Campbell, it’s all about hydration. She exclusively uses baby soap in the shower, since she is allergic to fragrant shower gels. After that, she applies Biofirm Lift lotion and an eye cream. Campbell hydrates her skin on a daily basis, both her face and her entire body, and she uses hydration serums on her face. Campbell believes that heavy moisturisers and make-up clog pores.
6. Helena Christensen
According to Christensen, her grandma had the most gorgeous, silky skin. Water, soap and Nivea are the only products she uses. Hundreds of various items, including amazing-smelling oils, washes and serums, were utilised by Christensen throughout the years. When she visits her grandmother, though, she returns to soap, water, and Nivea. She also keeps her make-up to a bare minimum. “On my lids, I just add a little blush and gloss or smudge in some eyeliner, but that’s all.”
7. Karlie Kloss
Perplexed as to why your skin is breaking out, despite your best efforts? It’s possible that your workout is the source of the problem. Karlie Kloss recommends cleaning your face before and after exercising to ensure it is free of dirt and grime. Look for a mild, yet effective, product that will not deprive your skin of its natural oils.
8. Lakshmi Menon
Model Lakshmi Menon is one of the few Indians who made a name for herself in the international fashion industry until 2010, and it’s safe to say she knows her stuff when it comes to her skin. She prefers organic skincare and swears on Dr. Hauschka’s Rose Day Cream, a German cosmetic brand.
9. Kaia Gerber
Kaia Gerber learned a few skincare tips from her supermodel mother, Cindy Crawford. She makes it a point to massage vitamin E oil all over her face as the final stage of her beauty routine. Antioxidants in vitamin E help to neutralise free radicals and increase collagen formation.
