Kick-starting Chinese New Year with a new pair of kicks is the absolute must-way to celebrate the Year of the Tiger. But don’t bother scouring the malls for your next pair of shoes – New Balance gotchu!
New Balance is celebrating the Year of the Tiger with a limited-edition Lunar New Year collection. The entire collection is based on a phrase from Siegfried Sassoon’s poetry, ‘In Me, Past, Present, Future Meet,’ to urge youngsters to show their bravery while expressing their gentler side, “In Me, the Tiger Sniffs the Rose.”
Ushering CNY with a roaring start, New Balance’s newest collection features stunning designs of their iconic footwear. Its Lunar New Year collection includes the classic 57/40 and 327 models, as well as the distinctive XC-72 model.
The 327 model is priced at RM499 and comes in black and brown, with a stylish red signifying boldness and tenacity. NOTE: This model was made with pig skin. In-store displays are clearly marked and wrapped in plastic.
The 57/40 (RM519), on the other hand, comes in a deep, peaceful azure with pink and green accents for added refinement. NOTE: This model was made with pig skin. In-store displays are clearly marked and wrapped in plastic.
By integrating an earth-coloured body with striking tiger stripes, the XC-72 model attempts to combine beauty with features from the outdoors, inspiring the user to be daring and fearless. It also has an organic touch because of the classic, soft suede material. The XC-72 series is priced at RM539 each.
New Balance’s current collection is available exclusively at three outlets in Malaysia: Pavilion KL, Mid Valley Megamall, and Mid Valley Southkey. So get yours while they’re still available!
