We would all agree that whenever mega star Jennifer Lopez lands on a rom-rom movie, it is sure to hit the box office big time and adds to our favorite flick of all time. Universal pictures has released a teaser for their upcoming movie Marry Me with a star studded cast. Along with J Lo, the film stars Owen Wilson, Sarah Silverman, and Columbian singer Maluma in his major feature debut.
The story of the movie is based on the graphic novel by Bobby Crosby. The film is described as “modern love story about celebrity, marriage and social media.” J Lo, who plays Kat Valdez, livestreams her wedding with music icon Bastian, played by Maluma, turns into a huge spectacle when she learns moments before walking down the aisle that Bastian has been cheating on her. She then impulsively chooses a stranger in the audience in random and marries him instead. The stranger is none other than Wilson’s character, Charlie Gilbert, who is a divorced high-school math teacher.
“What begins as an impulsive reaction evolves into an unexpected romance,” the official synopsis reads. “But as forces conspire to separate them, the universal question arises: Can two people from such different worlds bridge the gulf between them and build a place where they both belong?”
Marry Me is directed by Kat Coiro (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Dead to Me). The movie also features original music by J Lo and Maluma
