It’s double the joy for Kate Upton and Justin Verlander as the couple tied the knot on Saturday after the baseball player’s team – Houston Astros – won their first World Series championship on Nov 2.
Kate was on the field when the Astros won the historical victory, and the 25-year-old model even gave a congratulatory kiss to her then fiancé to congratulate him on his win. However, the engaged couple reportedly missed the celebration party for the team on Friday for their own special occasion.
Their gorgeous wedding ceremony was held days after the championship at Castiglion del Bosco, an antique church located in Province of Siena in Tuscany, Italy. All eyes were on the bride as she appeared in her wedding dress, which featured a long sheer-sleeved, voluminous tulle dress with a long train.
It seems like the American model cum actress finally found the perfect dress as she previously revealed in an interview that she was considering on wearing multiple dresses for her big day.
“I like it all, so maybe I’ll have multiple dresses. Maybe a nice long sleeve, and then also the big tulle one,” while revealing her wedding planning progress.
When asked about their marriage plans, Kate previously affirmed, “It’s gonna be a good date no matter what. As long as we’re surrounded by friends and family… They’re so many dresses and designers it’s been fun to look around. I’m excited to finalise everything.”
The pair dated on and off for three years before announcing their engagement on 2016 upon walking the red carpet of Met Gala 2016. Congratulations, you two!
