The awards season has officially kicked off and you know what that means! New winners and of course, fabulous getups on the red carpet. In fact, just earlier today, the 2012 People’s Choice Awards took place at Nokia Theatre L.A. And we were busy playing fashion police! Don’t worry, we didn’t sue anyone.
At least not for looking good.
We were totally envious of this electric blue Reem Arca dress that Cobie Smulders (aka Robin Scherbatsky in the now award-winning “How I Met Your Mother” TV series) had on. Her look was completed with simple nude-coloured Rebecca Minkoff heels and a gorgeous Etro necklace.
Her “How I Met Your Mother” co-star, quirky little Alyson Hannigon was spotted in a red beaded Alice + Olivia dress, with baby bump in tow.
We can’t even begin to describe how cute she looked. And we can’t wait to see her new bundle of joy.
“House” star Jennifer Morrison, however, took her getup for a classic spin. She attended the 2012 People’s Choice Awards in a sweet clay silk chiffon Verticordia threadwork embroidered dress with fringe hem by Oscar de la Renta. We also love how she finished her look with Casadei pumps.
Oh, the gorgeous pumps. Thick-heeled pumps!
Singing starlet Lea Michele wore a Marchesa dress, which fell around her figure beautifully. It definitely brought out the star quality in her! Seriously, can you not already imagine her belting out her octaves in this number already?
This year’s Favourite TV Drama Actress Nina Dobrev graced the awards in an alluring green Elie Saab dress.
It takes a lot of guts to wear that shade of green on a red carpet but heck, if we had a face like hers, we too would look good in any colour. Her look was topped off with a cute, round Lauren Merkin clutch. Sweet!
And one female vampire decided to go goth at the 2012 People’s Choice Awards in a DKNY dress. The best part (and perhaps the most winning part) is that we hear Ashley Greene got it custom made. Wow! The perks of having razor-sharp teeth and a “Twilight star” status. Props! We like.
Not to be defeated, Vanessa Hudgens also turned up looking like a “dark princess” in a black sheer double halter gown with gold webbed beading. This was straight out of Jenny Packham’s Autumn/Winter 2011 collection. There is no such thing as “so last season” when it’s this amazing!
Okay, okay, we can all pick our jaws off the floor now. So, what do you think? Which dress did you like best?
