So we’ve given you the “standard mortal’s” top five new year’s resolutions yesterday. Now let’s take a quick look at what some of your favourite (and not so favourite) celebrities have pledged for 2012. Ahem. You heard them here first!
Adam Levine
We’re thinking, since the Maroon 5 hottie is already dating the drop dead gorgeous Victoria’s Secret supermodel Anne Vyalitsyna, his life should already be complete, right? Who needs resolutions? But no, the singer tweeted, “Potential New Year’s resolutions: take more hikes. Start smoking. Communicate. Enjoy. Share. Kill my own food. Make friends with a Lion”.
We’re okay with all except the smoking and the killing, Adam.
Redfoo (Stefan Kendal Gordy)
“Party rocking” Redfoo of LMFAO has his own sets of resolutions albeit they’re mostly career-skewed. Or rather, LMFAO-skewed. When poked and prodded at, he said, “Films. Taking the whole LMFAO, Party Rock lifestyle and music and just putting it on the big screen. Take our videos plus our music and then our personalities and BAM!”.
Uh. Bam what, Redfoo?
Ashton Kutcher
Fresh out of his divorce from Demi Moore, we personally think that Ashton Kutcher, of all people, should be the one to be making truckloads of resolutions. And true enough, he has. The star tweeted, “In 2012, let’s agree to a resolution to feel another’s pain and joy, and create the peace we desire through proactive generosity. XO“.
Aww. That’s a sweet touch, Ashton. Happy 2012 to you too.
Lea Michele
One “Glee” actress/songstress has more than just her vocals warmed up for the new year. Having just wrapped up the movie “New Year’s Eve”, Lea Michele has pledged her very own new year’s resolutions. She said, “My new year’s resolutions are to keep working, doing things that are challenging, exciting, and enjoyable. Maybe that will get me closer to my idols, Natalie Wood or Barbra Streisand”.

Kim Kardashian
After her great big wedding and then the great big dramatic divorce, wouldn’t you too be left wondering about what Kim Kardashian has planned out for 2012? The 31-year-old star who once said (in 2011) that she wanted to try to be single that entire year is now changing it up to “I want to be more simple in 2012” for the new year.
Sure, Kim. Then maybe we’ll be able to keep up better?
Olivia Wilde
After starring in about four movies the past year, American actress and model Olivia Wilde says that she’s got her eyes set on a couple of books in 2012. We hear that her new year’s resolution is to try and read more novels. Well, why not? No better way to unwind after a hectic year, right?
And who doesn’t love a beauty with brains anyway?
Penn Badgley
Penn Badgley, otherwise known as Dan Humphrey aka “Gossip Girl’s lonely boy” is anything but ordinary or lonely in real life. He might not seem like he’s the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to being streetwise but for 2012, Penn says that he wants to make sure he isn’t just all talk. To be exact, he said, “My new year’s resolution? Less talking and more doing”.
