Babe & Dewakan Are Collaborating For An Exciting Smashup Mashup This July 7

After a successful pop up venture of Sushi Babe at The Apartment, KLCC last year, Babe Restaurant is back with Smashup Mashup – a culinary collaboration with Dewakan. For one evening only, well known head chefs, Jeff Ramsey of Babe Restaurant and Darren Teoh from Dewakan will get together to present a gastronomic treat like no other.

The Smashup Mashup pop up gives foodies a chance to indulge in a one-of-a-kind menu, created especially for the occasion, only at Babe Restaurant, Damansara Heights on 7 July 2017.

Chef Ramsey’s culinary credits include being picked by Japanese “Super-chef” Hide Yamamoto to open the 6-star Mandarin Oriental Tokyo hotel. Earning his Michelin star at age 32, he continues to explore his own style of modernist cooking at Babe with dishes that excite not just one, but all senses.

Chef Ramsey is known for bringing Japas, or Japanese tapas into the limelight while Chef Teoh has been gaining attention among food lovers for his creativity in elevating local flavours. Sharing his love for Malaysian cuisine using local ingredients and flavours, he believes that a carefully crafted dish reveals historical and cultural elements, presented to diners on a plate.

This time, the dynamic duo will be working together to come up with a distinctive tasting menu inspired by local elements, creating every snack, main course and desert together. Unlike other four hands dinners where chefs create dishes independently, the Smashup Mashup dishes are thought out and crafted together by both chefs:

Chicken Skin Crisp with Red Wine Caramelized Onions, Duck Pate, Pickled Mustard
Crispy Purple Potato Wrapped Tai “Umai”
Wagyu Tongue Sandwich, Tomato Toast

Royal Oyster with Hikiage Yuba, Soymilk and Dried Oyster Broth, Coriander Stem
Brandade of Grouper with Ikan Bilis, Sunflower Seeds and Foraged Herbs
Crispy Ayu with Unagi Terrine and Fresh Wasabi
Aged Peking Duck Slow Roasted with Grilled Vegetables
KotekMamak, Banana, Dark Chocolate

Premium Menu @ RM 550++ per person

Hokkaido Diver Scallop with Uni Sabayon
