If you’re Asian, you’d probably understand the obsession with getting Dragon babies. You don’t well, us neither. In the past decades, we’ve observed a trend whereby there are over 20% more babies born during the Dragon year because the dragon is believed to be the luckiest of the 12 zodiac signs.
Dragon babies also supposedly grow up to have fiery personalities and blazing ambitions. Too many babies born in a year can have several negative impacts, like fighting with other expecting mothers for a place during medical checkups. Your child will also face plenty of competition in school and may have difficulty looking for jobs in the future.
There is a Chinese saying that goes, “It is better to be the head of a dragon than the tail of the rabbit,” which is why parents prefer to try conceiving towards the end of the rabbit year to have dragon babies. Well it looks like 2012 will be a fantastic year for many celebrity mommies as well though we’re pretty sure they didn’t intentionally coincide their pregnancy with the year of the dragon.

It only seemed like yesterday that our favourite tween star Hilary Duff played spunky Lizzie McGuire and today she’s all grown up, married and pregnant! After her marriage, Hilary said she wasn’t planning for a baby so soon because she felt that she was too young but on the first wedding anniversary, she announced her pregnancy and will be expectating a baby boy early this year together with her hockey player husband, Mike Comrie.
As we look forward to the birth of the baby of our favourite sitcom couple Lily and Marshall from “How I Met Your Mother”, what most of us didn’t know in the beginning was that her character’s pregnancy was timed to coincide with Alyson Hannigan’s own!
