An instant camera definitely puts the fun in photography with instant gratification, but the downside to using one is that we’d end up with a slew of atrocious, unflattering photos and pricey film down the drain. That said, what if the odds are different and you could review the snaps before printing?
Introducing Fujifilm’s latest instax Square SQ10 – a hybrid instant camera in a new square photo format that has a digital image sensor and image processing technology built in so editing is allowed before the photos are actually printed. This ultimately signifies that no film will go to waste no more!
Aside from its ability to take better looking photos in low-light conditions and close-up shots of up to 10cm distance with automatic exposure control, human detection and auto-focus, the SQ10 hybrid camera features an LCD monitor with an easy-to-maneuver interface that allows for editing work.
Besides zooming and cropping photos on the SQ10 which comes with two shutter buttons on either side, users can choose from various shooting modes or even zoom and crop photos before playing with the 10 filters available, saturation, brightness or vignette effects for more artistic images.
Fujifilm also unveiled the brand new instax mini 9 camera that is an upgrade from its predecessor the mini 8 with a close-up lens attachment, manual high-key brightness adjustment, and a selfie mirror. Available in five vibrant colours, the mini 9 makes for a cool little addition to make photos just that much more personal.
The Fujifilm Square SQ10 retails for RM1,328 whereas the mini 9 is priced at RM348. Both will be available for purchase at the the Avenue K Japan Festival and Wonder Photo Shop at Sunway Pyramid until 21 May 2017 before its nationwide release on the 22nd.
