While neutral eyeshadow palettes will consistently be our ride or die, creativity is always encouraged in the beauty department and everyone should be free to experiment, sans judgement. After all, makeup is supposed to be fun and we’re all for doing whatever the f*ck you want.
With makeup, nothing should be taboo, so don’t be afraid to expand your beauty wardrobe with bold, vibrant splashes of colour that will guarantee you statement-making looks with perfect 10 scores. Here are 10 unapologetic ways to wear colourful hues on the eyes and how you can make colour wearable:

// The reverse smokey eye is great for those with hooded eyelids and this vivid variation looks bomb. Smudge eyeshadow underneath your lower lash line from the inner corners and extend it outwards to create a wing. Finish off with eyeliner on the top lash line to balance out the look.
// This look is definitely not for the faint of heart, although an all over wash of colour on the lid and lower lash line always turns heads, in a good way of course. The best part is that eyeshadow can be applied messily without utmost precision, and it still looks good with or without eyeliner.

// One of the simplest ways to get away with wearing colour on the eyes is by applying it as eyeliner. The rest of the eyes can also be kept bare for the look. Don’t own any bright eyeliners? You can easily double up your liquid lipsticks as eyeliners without dropping the extra cash. Boom.
// The inner corners of the eyes are usually accentuated with pearl or champagne highlighter, but why not take your eyeshadow game up a notch by doing it with a pop of colour? It adds more pizzazz and the placement of the eyeshadow brightens up the appearance that counters the effects of fatigue.
// The cut crease eyeshadow technique has been taking social media by storm for a while now and it dramatically defines the eye socket to make the eyes appear bigger. Here’s how it’s done: Lighter eyeshadow is applied all over the mobile lid and a darker shade of eyeshadow is applied above the crease of the eye towards the brow bone.
// If you’re still on the fence about flashy eye looks, this is a more subtle take that doesn’t draw too much attention. Simply line your upper and lower waterline with colour. You could go really soft with pastel shades or super dramatic with neon hues and it just depends on the mood you’re in.

// Take the cut crease technique to the next level with a modern twist by outlining the eye socket with colour. That way, the striking line teases the audience every time you bat a lash and blink. For more accuracy to get the colour exactly where you want it, use a small angled liner brush or flat liner brush.
// There are so many brilliantly tinted mascaras out there in the market and what’s great is that there are so many drugstore options out there that retail for cheap. Eyeshadow ain’t for ya? Go all out on the eyelashes instead and slay that way.
// Definitely more exotic and adventurous, the graphic, avant garde eyeshadow look may not be for everyone. But hey, if being loud is your jam, ain’t nobody is going to put a halt to it. There are surely many other diluted iterations of this, though a thunder cum superhero eye look isn’t half bad.
// Magnify the drama by blending out the colour directly below the brow bone and towards the tail of the eyebrows to elongate the eye shape. Complete the look by smudging the same hue under the eyes to connect the colour at the wing, then drag the colour below the inner corners.
