We’re three days away from Malaysia’s biggest and most comprehensive photography and imaging exhibition so you gotta excuse us for lusting for a new camera or two this Christmas. Anyone care to stuff our stocking with some snappy goodies?
Well the Digital Camera, Imaging and Media Show 2011 (DCIM Show 2011) is back for the third consecutive year at Hall 2 and 3, Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur from 23rd to 25th December 2011 with brands like Canon, Nikon, Panasonic and Olympus as the main exhibitors. Look out for great deals from dealers with products ranging from photography kits, equipments and accessories to storage and media as well as printing solutions.
Like previous DCIMs, photography enthusiasts also get to pick up great tips and tricks to improve their skills through a series of insightful workshops and seminars on photography by renowned speakers such as Jim Liaw, Patrick Low, Eric Looi and Saifu Nang.
The annual DCIM 2011 show also gives you the opportunity to put your photography skills to the test during the Velocity Angel Search 2011 – a modelling search for the next cover model for Malaysia’s premier gadget magazine, T3 Malaysia. We’ve given you a sneak peak of the Christmas themed shoot a few weeks ago and now here’s your chance to get to know the girls, yes all 10 of them, a little better!

I like my smile and wisdom, because my smile is my bullet and wisdom is my pistol.
Who do you admire & aspire to be like most?
Amber Chia is one of my inspirations because she has made Malaysia proud in so many ways and I wish to be like her.
Tell us something people don’t know about you. It can be a characteristic or a talent.
I am an active learner, I like to explore new things and knowledge. It broadens my vision and enhances my skills and abilities.
Would you ever consider plastic surgery?
No, inner beauty is more important than the appearance. I believe that we have to love the way we look and be confident.
How do you cope with the fierce competition in this industry? What keeps you headstrong?
I am always well-prepared, both mentally and physically. I like picking up new talents to strengthen myself. Besides that, I am also taking good care of my health so that I’m always in tip top shape!

What do you like most about yourself and why?
Determination. With this attitude, I’m able to strive through most of the challenges and fears that I face in life. As I’m very passionate about modelling, I’m usually confronted by periods where my good friends do not support me and question me. But, this strength drives me throughout all the obstacles and proves to everyone that this is what I want for my life.
Who do you admire & aspire to be like most?
Agyness Deyn. She has strong personality.
Tell us something people don’t know about you. It can be a characteristic or a talent.
I’m learning DJ-ing. I hope that I can perform in clubs or on stage one day!
Would you ever consider plastic surgery?
Yes. I used to have very low self esteem before joining the industry. But now, I believe that confidence is the key to true beauty.
How do you cope with the fierce competition in this industry? What keeps you headstrong?
Always be prepared. I have to watch my diet regularly and practice on the mirror as much as I can. Also, attitude is very important in this industry.

What do you like most about yourself and why?
What I like most about myself is my hair because it is long and naturally black.
Who do you admire & aspire to be like most?
Eleen Yong. She is Malaysia’s very own international model

I like breakdancing and cooking.
Would you ever consider plastic surgery?
No. I love the way I am now.
How do you cope with the fierce competition in this industry? What keeps you headstrong?
I don’t think the competition is fierce because what’s important is to always upkeep good behavior, good personality, and positive communication with the people around you. One of the things that keeps me headstrong is that I would like to be a next top international model someday.

What do you like most about yourself and why?
I’m a person who constantly tries to innovate and improve. I love picking up new things and learning new things along the way and I hardly give up on anything that I really want to pursue.
Who do you admire & aspire to be like most?
I admire and aspire to be like my mother. She is the one who made me understand the many theories of life. She taught me to not give up easily, and to keep chasing my dreams.
Tell us something people don’t know about you. It can be a characteristic or a talent.
I can be very lazy sometimes. On the hindsight, I really do want to give acting a shot so I work really hard at trying to achieve that dream.
Would you ever consider plastic surgery?
I will not consider plastic surgery as natural beauty is the best. We should appreciate what God has given to us.
How do you cope with the fierce competition in this industry? What keeps you headstrong?
I try not to compare myself to other girls. Just to be confident! I always tell myself, “A great figure or physique is nice, but it’s self-confidence that makes someone really sexy!”

Who do you admire & aspire to be like most?
I admire quite lot number of people. From celebrities to historical figures, to family, friends, and even strangers. For instance, I admire the stunning Dee Hsu (a Taiwanese celebrity) for her straightforwardness, her work attitude, and her outlook on life!

Apparently I look girly but I’ve always been more of a tomboy.
Would you ever consider plastic surgery?
Honestly, yes. I have considered it before. Girls will always desire to be perfect. However I’m not brave enough to do so, it’s risky. Thankfully I’ve learned to accept and love me just the way I am.
How do you cope with the fierce competition in this industry? What keeps you headstrong?
I try to think positive always and be optimistic when I’m faced with challenges. I strive to go further and nothing will take me down.
