Their fame was all thanks to their major label debut single which claimed the number five spot on the “American Billboard Hot 100”. It became their first UK number one single. Then, like an epidemic, “Bring Me to Life” spread across the globe and soon, music lovers (especially women) around the world were wishing that they were born with a voice like hers:
We know you know the words! It went on to become theme songs for many notable productions such as “WWE No Way Out 2003” and the action movie “Daredevil”. At the 46th Annual Grammy Awards in 2004, the band bagged awards for “Best Hard Rock Performance” and “Best New Artist”.
Amy Lee’s voice can be said to be powerful and haunting. And her talent was once again displayed in Evanescence’s next big hit, the melancholic “My Immortal”. Followed by “Going Under” and “Everybody’s Fool”, which all took their formidable places in various music charts.

Fast forward to more than a decade and a half since the band was founded, Evanescence returns with a self-titled third studio album. Released on the 11th of October in 2011, it immediately debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, racking up about 127,000 copies in sales!
The first single, “What You Want” was released on the 9th of August 2011 and the second single, “My Heart Is Broken” is already dominating radio stations everywhere:
