Dubbed in over 45 languages around the world, Cake Boss has got to be one of the most well-loved TLC television series and for good reason. For years and years, Buddy Valastro and his amazing family have been whipping up amazing cake creations we can only dream about, and now, Cake Boss is back for its 8th season on TLC.
Carlo’s Bakery is a household name and for Buddy, mixing eggs, sugar, butter and flour means a lot more than merely baking a cake. As a fourth generation baker, his career has been a constant source of pleasure, pride and creativity. More than anything, creating these cakes connects Buddy with memories of his late father Buddy Sr. and his Italian family heritage.
With over 15 outlets under his name, Buddy hasn’t stopped there. Plans for new expansions throughout the world, even in Southeast Asia, are underway and he’s even opened his first restaurant last October, called Buddy V, whereby he’s brought his family’s classic Italian recipes to the table.
Cake Boss himself recently paid Malaysia a visit and it was indeed an eye-opening experience listening to Buddy speak of his life-long passion, his inspirations, his favourite memories of baking cakes and even tips and tricks for baking, as well as decorating.
