Everyone’s favourite Japanese biscuit brand, Pocky, is calling on all Pocky lovers to collect smiles this November!
In commemoration of Pocky Day on 11 November, Japanese food manufacturer Ezaki Glico Co., Ltd. will start the “Pocky Day Smile Counter Campaign” this month, where participants globally submit their smiles and share the happiness with the world. The campaign will be launched in Japan, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Malaysia where Pocky is widely enjoyed.
11 November is a huge celebration day for Pocky in Japan – it’s not just a day for you to stuff yourself with Pocky, but it is also a day for you to share happiness and get creative with Pocky! The day is continuously getting popular in Japan and is slowly turning into a global sensation.
With a message of “Share Happiness!”, Pocky believes that a person’s smile is a symbol of happiness. And by sharing smiles, it leads to sharing happiness. This belief is realised further into the Pocky Day Smile Counter Campaign.
The official website for the Pocky Day Smile Counter Campaign has a “Smile Counter” which counts the total number of smile photos in real time on the participant’s Facebook collected over the course of the campaign. Participants can join the campaign by taking a photo of their smile and posting/sharing it on the official website.
Participants will be able to attend a “ Pocky Day Smile Counter Campaign” event to search how many smile photos they have on their Facebook and have the result reflected on the ‘Smile Counter’ at Berjaya Times Square from 11- 13 November 2016. Participants will also be eligible for the Pocky Best Smile contest where the winner walks away with a trip to the Pocky Factory in Japan, where the smiles are submitted!
To be eligible for the Pocky Best Smile contest, all smiles need to be submitted by November 30th. For more details on the Pocky Day Smile Counter campaign, access here.
