The latest trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has hit the web and the combat-packed trailer gives us a glimpse of Jyn Erso’s (Felicity Jones) past, the origins of the Rogue call sign, as well as intense battle scenes.
It opens with Imperial forces advancing on a farm, while Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen) tells his young daughter that he’s doing “it to protect her,” before a grown up Jyn wakes up in a cell. It continues as the Alliance forces break her out and the rest of the teaser delivers action, with X-wings shooting across the sky and a brief look at Darth Vader.
This is the first major film set outside the classic saga and is set before Star Wars: A New Hope. It depicts an unassuming team of heroes who are tasked with stealing plans of the Empire’s new weapon, the Death Star.
Featuring Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Diego Luna, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker and more, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will arrive in theatres in Malaysia on December 15th, 2016.
