Our beloved fashion label Tory Burch is back, with an exciting new collection for its Spring Summer 2017. This collection draws inspiration from the east coast to the west coast.
The fashion designer, Tory Burch herself explained the major trends from her new collection, which places emphasis on chic handbags, funky shoes and sculptural jewellery.
BAGS
The Sawyer buckle bag is named after her son. It’s a deconstructed bag with a giant buckle that she did in different ways — suede, macramé, needlepoint. It’s soft and easy, but the buckle introduces a graphic element.
This season’s Bermuda bag, meanwhile, is a throwback to the Seventies and something she wore. It comes in all sizes, its convertible, with different silhouettes — solid colors; embroidered — that you can snap on and off.
Its super-versatile!
SHOES
There is a wide range of styles for spring, from pearl mules to embroidered moccasins. Tory Burch also included a ruffled sneaker from their Tory Sport collection.
The sneakers are meant to be feminine, so they are designed one in white with a colored tip and a ruffle detail, and styled it on the runway with long skirts. Tory loves pairing something dressy with a sneaker, it makes it instantly cool.
JEWELLERY
This collection features a great number sculptural jewellery on the runway, and that speaks of the bicoastal themes. There are pearls for East Coast; beaded dream catchers and cowrie shells for West Coast.
Tory’s personal favourites are the fish earrings, inspired by the work of Alexander Calder.
They’re all so gorgeous! Head over to Tory Burch to see more from the Spring Summer 2017 collection.
