Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds just had their first baby girl, James, in December 2014. Just eight months after that, Mrs Reynolds was required to do a bikini scene for The Shallows.
Of course, she seemed extremely confident and looked great in the scene, but deep down inside, there were all these insecurities meddling with her head.
“The struggle is that I am doing a movie in a bikini eight months after having a baby and there is a level of insecurity and vanity that comes with that,” the actress says. “You don’t want to be the person in the magazines that they are saying ‘Ugh, look at her’ rather than ‘Wow, look at her,’ ” she adds.
Blake Lively credits her bikini bod to her personal trainer, Don Saladino. “That was an eight-week period of my life. I’m luck to have an amazing trainer, this guy Don Saladino, who just kicked my butt.” She also revealed that she was on a very strict diet, and did a lot of the stunts herself before the studio hired a stunt double.
Saladino was equally supportive of her. “It should encourage people: Here’s a woman who had a baby in December, and she’s got her bikini body back already. That’s pretty spectacular.
The Gossip Girl actress and her Deadpool husband are now expecting baby number 2.
