This Father’s Day, La Casa is rolling out an exclusive deal called the “Big Boy Special”, available from June 13th to June 24th, 6pm onwards. We decided to test out their special menu and see if it’s good enough for your superhero dads, and here’s how it went:
The Big Boy Special – RM 68
What we immediately noticed about the “Big Boy Special” is that it has something for every taste.
The highlight of the platter is the smoked barbecue chicken wings that is crunchy and marinated to perfection. To balance out the strong flavour, you can take a bite into the fresh tomato confit, soft roasted capsicum or tuna with smoked olive.
If Dad is an experimental man, he will love the signature treats like Ratatouille with Gruyère, the strawberry raisin couscous salad, or grilled Italian sausage served on a bed of mashed potatoes.
The “Big Boy Special” is completed with a light rocket salad, crispy bread on the side, and an absolutely refreshing orange, lime & mint mocktail.
The best part is that entire set costs only RM 68, and it can even shared among two people.
Apart from the Big Boy Special, here are some other items on the menu that are absolutely worth trying if you do drop by at La Casa (and you should!).
Slow Braised Lamb with Gnocchi – RM 42
My favourite dish of the night. Braised lamb shoulder and pan-friend, homemade gnocchi–the combination was perfect!
Baked Fish Papillote – RM48
Fish fillet combined with assorted seafood like squid, mussel, prawns and white wine baked in seasoned tomato broth. Perfect for seafood lovers.
Duck Confit- RM 42
Crispy duck served with sautéed potatoes, with orange and apple salad. Simply mouth-watering.
Smoked Chicken in Pesto – RM26
Smoked chicken strips in light and creamy pesto sauce. Absolutely filling and yummy!
At the end of it, we were also treated to a glass of homemade cheese ice cream. Sinful and irresistible, a must-try to complete the night!
