From 18th to 24th April, H&M Malaysia will kick start the brand’s first ever World Recycle Week campaign with a collaboration with Southeast Asia’s leading ride-hailing platform, Grab. Offering customers an even more convenient solution to recycle their unwanted garments and textiles. Throughout World Recycle Week, H&M aims to collect 1,000 tonnes of unwanted garments or textiles in its more than 3,600 stores worldwide.
During the week long campaign, Grab users will enjoy the convenience of booking a pick up of their unwanted garments from any location in Klang Valley from 11am to 3pm daily. Bookings can easily be made by a simple click on the special H&M icon on the Grab app. Upon collection, users will be rewarded with two H&M vouchers worth 15% off one item for each bag of unwanted garments they hand over to their Grab driver. All textiles are welcome – odd socks, old towels, the dress with a hole – and nothing is too torn, worn or used for a second life.
In addition to this collaboration, H&M continues its nationwide fashion domination by opening a new store at the upcoming AEON Mall Shah Alam on 21st April at 12pm and unveiling its first store in Kelantan at AEON Mall Kota Bharu on 28th April at 10am.
“This is a very exciting month for us at H&M Malaysia. Besides opening our 25th and 26th store in Malaysia, we are proud to launch our first global World Recycle Week campaign. With every new store opening, we aspire not only to become the go-to fashion destination but also hope to make conscious fashion choices desirable and easily accessible for our customers,” says Fredrik Famm, Country Manager for H&M Southeast Asia
H&M’s two new stores will offer an extensive assortment of the latest fashion trends for ladies, men, teenagers and kids. As part of its effort to raise awareness on sustainability, the brand’s on-going Garment Collecting initiative will also be available at both stores while H&M AEON Mall Shah Alam will coincidentally open during the brand’s World Recycle Week campaign.
In celebration of these openings, the first 200 customers who queue up on the opening day at these new stores will receive exclusive giveaways and a shopping voucher worth up to RM500, valid on the day of opening only.
