McDonald’s has released a new promotional video, but you won’t hear any catchy song or phrase this time. They have taken a more serious, and perhaps necessary turn–it’s a more emotional video, voicing their support for the LGBT community.
No doubt that this has sparked at outrage in Taiwan among anti-LGBT groups, but that does not really weigh as much when over 70% of Taiwan’s population are in support of the LGBT community and their right to marriage.
The video beautifully captures the relationship between a conservative father, and his son who finally mustered enough courage to come out. The father is baffled and shaken at first, but then comes to accept his son as he is.
