Most of us know her for her character as Alex Dunphy in the TV series, Modern Family. Little Alex, the nerd of the family.. always in the shadows of her sister/most popular girl in highschool Haley Dunphy, played by Sarah Hyland.
But here in the real world, we can say that Ariel Winter has blossomed into a beautiful young lady.. In fact, she just turned 18 last month! She is now officially an adult and just beginning to open up about what is like to be a child actor.
“I was put in the industry when I was four, I love what I do, but I don’t know if it’s a choice I would have made on my own” Winter told People Magazine. She said that all the rejection and criticism that she had to deal with at a young age has affected her self-esteem.
She had also open up to the magazine about her recent breast reduction surgery as some questioned on her decision to go from a 32F to a 34D and not smaller. Pretty odd question to be asking but her answer made a huge amount of sense – “They were way too big, originally,”Ariel said, citing back pain and shoulder problems. “But I didn’t want to be disproportionate. I had the option to go even smaller. But I’m a curvy girl, and I didn’t want to change that. I love being a curvy girl.”
Ariel is happy with how she looks like and it really is all that matters!
