Konichiwa! Have you been itching to travel but not really sure on where your next destination should be? Well, if you’re looking for cheap flights, awesome weather and a country filled with jaw-dropping culture then we highly suggest you make Japan your next stop.

Here are some of the reasons why you might want to visit Japan:

The food – Forget Sushi Tei, you don’t know good Sashimi until you have travelled to Tokyo. Make your way to Tsujiki Fish Market, where you will find the freshest of seafood. If you’re a fan of Japanese Tamago Egg, you’ll find yourself spoilt for choice with the variety that are available. Be sure to check out the street food and also, treat your tastebud to the quirky Cheesecake-flavoured Kit Kat.

If you’re on a budget, note that there is a 7-11 or a family mart located at almost every corner, where you can just about all sorts of food and drinks. Nothing like the soggy sausage bun roll that we get here.

Shopping – With more malls and shops than one person would know what to do with, Japan is probably a heavenly destination for shopaholics. One of the must-go-to places would be Takeshita Street where you will find fashion boutiques, cafes and streetwear in Harajuku. If that’s not enough, head on down to Shinjuku where more malls await. Also, pay a visit to the famous Hachiko statue located at the Shinjuku station.

The people – In some countries you visit, you’ll find yourself disappointed with how unfriendly locals can get but that’s not the case with Japan. Something like a language barrier won’t deter the people of Japan to help show your way around, because they are more than willing to guide you even if they don’t speak the same language.

The scenery – Japan oozes culture and tradition, so if you’re looking to learn something new and perhaps take a couple of shots for your Instagram account, you’re at the right place. From museums and parks to Tokyo Disneyland and temples, there is not a place in Japan that won’t take your breath away. To truly appreciate the beauty of nature in Japan and experience some breathtaking landscapes, visit during Spring or Autumn
