Okay girls and boys, freak out and shriek all you want, because Mel B has hinted that the girls will be getting back together to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Mel B said this in an interview on Alan Carr’s New Year Spectacular show last December.
Spice Girls was formed back in 1994 and together, they rocked the 90s and became one of the best-selling female group of all time, selling about 850 million copies of their albums in their heyday. The group went on a hiatus in 2000, and have been performing on and off since then.
Victoria, or Posh Spice, however, did not seem very excited about the reunion. “Sometimes you’ve got to know when it’s time to leave the party.” she told Vanity Fair. “Doing the Olympics was an incredible honour. I was so proud to do it, proud to be British. That was a perfect time to say, ‘That’s great. Thank you to everybody, but no more.’
Well, we’re definitely keeping our fingers crossed for this one. Come on, Posh, it’s the band’s 20th anniversary for crying out loud!
