In conjunction with the Christmas season, Sunway Putra Hotel embarked on a mission to offer deserving individuals the opportunity to spend an evening at the hotel, enjoying a specially curated gourmet dinner and gift giving, followed by a stay in one of the newly-refurbished Deluxe rooms at the hotel with their loved ones.
Aptly named Time to Give, the campaign encouraged people to submit the names and reasons why their nominees deserved the unique VIP treatment by Sunway Putra Hotel. The beauty of this campaign was that anyone could be nominated; be it someone who had dedicated their life to caring for their family, or someone who brings comfort to the less fortunate.
Some of the unsung heroes who were gifted the VIP treatment included Wong Ee Lynn, who champions different causes including environmental awareness, animal welfare, green living and helping NGOs, Dr. Seth, who constantly makes donations to charitable organisations, and 17-year-old Ashley, who suffers from a traumatic brain injury and her 9-year-old sister Zoe Tan, who is constantly by her side, supporting and encouraging her.
Sunway Putra Hotel butlers picked up the winners from their homes, and at the hotel, a wonderful 5-course dinner was served to them while they dined with a majestic view of the city at the hotel’s Club Floor. Dinner comprised of an appetiser of a trio of salmon, butterfish and unagi, followed by mushroom soup with Portobello dumplings. The main dish was a combination of pan-seared codfish and chicken, and finally to end, a decadent chocolate dessert.
After dinner, the winners were led down to the lobby where carefully chosen personalised gifts purchased by the Sunway Putra Hotel concierge team were given to the winners, much to their delight. It was indeed a heartfelt evening of cheerful glee all around, and the Time to Give winners went back to their luxurious rooms with big smiles on their faces.
