The MAC AIDS Fund is the top corporate funder of HIV/AIDS programs globally, and the VIVA GLAM campaign has raised US$400 million through the sale of MAC’s VIVA GLAM Lipstick and Lipglass to support people affected by HIV and AIDS worldwide. To celebrate this milestone, MAC partnered with global influencers, staff and local HIV/AIDS service organisations in a global and fun volunteer initiative across 35 markets.
On the 1st of December 2015 at MAC Sunway Putra Mall, Malaysian celebrities and personalities like Joey G, Bob Yusof, Winnie K, Beatrice Looi, Ariel Pan, Aric Ho and more volunteered to sell MAC’s VIVA GLAM Lipstick and Lipglass, with 100% of the proceeds going to the MAC AIDS Fund.
This year, MAC Malaysia pledged a total of RM430,130 to the Malaysian AIDS Foundation. This will be channeled to CAKNA (Pertubuhan Komuniti CAKNA Daerah Kuala Terengganu, KASIH (Kota Kinabalu AIDS Support Services Association), FAITH (Kuala Lumpur AIDS Support Services Society), SAHABAT (Sahabat Shelter Home), and WAKE 3 (Shelter Home for Transgender) to aid those affected with HIV/AIDS.
