Christmas is a time for all ‘round cheer and festivities. Which means lots of food, getting together with family and loved ones, giving and receiving of gifts and sharing kindness. Hermѐs celebrates the true meaning of Christmas with three beautiful timepieces that are perfect as gifts for loved ones.
Slim d’Hermѐs
At the heart of the large 39.5mm diameter model beats the Manufacture Hermѐs H1950 ultra-thin movement. The integration of a micro-rotor serves to slim down this self-winding caliber that now measures just 2.6mm. Like the other models from the Manufacture, this movement is adorned with the “sprinkling of Hs” motif, while the bridges are hand-bevelled in keeping with watchmaking traditions. A sapphire crystal case-back affords a glimpse of the details conveying this expertise. Time is displayed in its simplest expression showing only the hours, minutes and seconds.
Arceau Millefiori
With the Arceau Millefiori, Hermѐs encapsulates an unusual encounter between watchmaking and glassmaking. Its exceptional wristwatches, beating to the tune of mechanical calibers produced in the Swiss workshops of La Montre Hermѐs, are lit up by dials and covers inspired by 19th century paperweights, crafted by the Cristalleries royales de Saint-Louis. A monochrome crystal sprue is formed, which will serve to create the canes that will in turn give rise to the “millefiori” motif (a combination of Italian words meaning ‘a thousand flowers’).
In The Pocket
This iconic model is crafted in a unique rose gold composition in a H red Swift calfskin. A pocket-watch that may be transformed at will into a wristwatch, it embodies both the historical leather hand craftsmanship of Hermѐs and its watchmaking development to the point of becoming a full-fledged Manufacture now in the hands of the seventh generation of the founding family. The baton-type hands sweep over pared-down numerals, while the small seconds ticks around at 3 o’clock, all driven by the Manufacture Hermѐs H1837 movement with a 50-hour power reserve.
