Lamar Odom, who was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel due to drug overdose, had regained consciousness on Friday afternoon after being in a four-day coma and continues to make progress.
The former NBA star remains hospitalised in ICU according to People Magazine but multiple reports have indicated that Odom was able to socialise and move for the first time on Saturday. According to Los Angeles Times and ESPN, Odom has apparently been able to text and speak sentences and is conversational. However, E! News has reported that most of the communication comes in the form of a thumbs-up or thumbs-down.
Lamar is now able to breathe on his own and as stated by E! News on Sunday, he was also able to get out of bed and onto a chair and he has also passed a swallow test with his breathing tube removed.
Kim Kardashian had posted a photo on Instagram to show their gratefulness for his recovery so far on Sunday morning captioned, “I’m so happy Kendall & I could make you smile today!”
