Shayne Oliver’s Hood by Air delivers some of the most buzzworthy shows time and time again. For its spring 2016 show at New York Fashion Week, Hood by Air’s explosive show featuring almost-random and really unexpected outfits that are sort of unwearable.
But, the designer’s clothes weren’t the only things making a statement. The models walked down the runway with bold, white and brown stripes across their foreheads, along the sides of their nose, and along their cheekbones. To some, it might look artistic, but those who are well-versed with beauty would know that it’s an unblended contouring job.
Apparently, MAC makeup artist Inge Grognard sent Oliver pictures of pre-blended contour jobs as references, which perfectly ties in with the collection’s surgery and self-alteration theme. Was Hood by Air dissing the makeup technique sworn by by the Kardashians?
We certainly wouldn’t be walking out the house with unblended contour. Would you?
