The Wknd Sessions Live (TWSL) is making their way to several locations nationwide! Following its successful launch during Cooler Lumpur Festival, TWSL will feature performances by noteworthy independent Malaysian acts at various venues. The next show will be tomorrow (15 August 2015) at Insider Space, Ipoh with performances from SOFT, Molly Dolly and Muck.
In efforts to help re-energise the independent local music scene and discover new talents, The Wknd and Hotlink have launched The Wknd Recording Fund (TWRF), a platform for new Malaysian musicians to record, produce, release and market their recorded material.
The winner will walk away with a contributing cash prize of RM10,000 by Hotlink, a professionally recorded single and an opportunity to perform for a live audience at the final TWSL event. Hotlink will also be contributing a special cash prize of RM3,000 to the first runner-up and RM2,000 to the second runner-up as funds to continue their efforts in developing their craft.
