AMC and AMC Global just announced that The Walking Dead will bring us back to the beginning of the zombie apocalypse with a companion series, Fear the Walking Dead. The extended episode will debut on AMC Global channels around the world simultaneously with the U.S. premiere.
Fear the Walking Dead, set in Los Angeles, stars Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Elizabeth Rodrigue, Ruben Blade, Mercedes Mason and Lorenzo James Henrie. The six-episode series is produced by AMC Studios.

AMC also announced that a 15-episode order for the second season of Fear the Walking Dead will air in 2016.
The series will premiere on Monday, 24th August at 9:10 a.m. with a repeat at 10:00 p.m. on ABNxcess (Astro Channel 351). Subsequent episodes will air at 9:00 a.m. and repeat at 10:00 p.m. every Monday. The season finale will premiere on October 5th.
