Just when you think they’ve exhausted all means of trying to scare you with calculated moves and “boo”s, the movie returns with its third installment and a steadfast mission to give you yet another reason to be afraid of the dark.
“Paranormal Activity 3” is the third film of the “Paranormal Activity” series and is a prequel to its line of American supernatural horror films. Set 18 years prior to the events of the first two films, this installment follows twin sisters Katie and Kristi when they were little girls, into their encounter with an invisible entity haunting their home, soon to take over their lives. And yes, it takes place years and years before all the possession, violent attacks, and killings in its previous movies.
In the interest of generating suspense, at first it appears friendly and somewhat playful, but as the escalating dread approaches, everything takes a turn when it suddenly becomes hostile. The essence of “Paranormal Activity 3” is perhaps the hellish reasons behind how and why the spirit attached itself to this family by going back in time to when the girls were children.
“Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary..”
If you were just as confused as we were with the previous “Paranormal Activity” movies, then this one will shed some light on happier times and answer most questions. “Paranormal Activity 3” builds up slowly (just like its predecessors) and is just stealthily creepy as it is disturbing:
Not something we would watch alone. We really don’t condone watching something that would scare a person half to death but, go “Discover the secret behind the activity”, by all means. The movie will be released on the 20th of October 2011. And dare we praise it for hitting silver screens around the world just in time for Halloween?
Coincidence?
