Luxottica’s latest eyewear range is made from selected natural woods. With a contemporary design and raw material, these glasses still exude a luxurious vibe. This season, Prada, Ray-Ban and Giorgio Armani are merging technology with classic craftsmanship to create a timeless art form through eyewear.

Prada

The iconic Minimal-Baroque model continues its creative evolutionary path with a new wooden version. The fine design is enhanced by the experimental use of two types of wood, black walnut and Malabar ebony. Contrasting with the wooden front, the acetate temples stay true to the original model’s distinctive design, with Baroque-style acetate curls in different shades of Tortoise. This Prada piece is priced at RM1,749.

The iconic Ray-Ban Clubmaster has been reproduced in exquisite wood and it is available in cherry, maple and walnut. The natural material of the frames is offset with rubber, guaranteeing maximum comfort, flexibility and optimum resistance. Its vintage, authentic vibe is given a modern, exclusive touch, in maple with brown rubber and lenses, cherry with blue rubber and grey-blue lenses, and walnut with green rubber and lenses. Own this pair for RM1,159.

An expression of natural, unspoilt luxury, these glasses are a marriage of craftsmanship and technological research applied to new materials. The classic rectangular sunglasses and gently squared optical glasses both feature temples created using two layers of wood and one of carbon fibre. The two types of wood used, wenge and natural Canaletto walnut, are handmade for a perfectly smooth, touchable feel. These Giorgio Armani glasses retail for RM1,909.
