Can Skinny Jeans Be A Health Hazard?

Listen up: It turns out that one of our favourite fashion staples could end up giving you big consequences! According to one woman’s experience while moving houses, there’s a whole host of health warnings to be aware of.

A 35 year old woman from Australia was treated for extreme weakness in her ankles as well as nerve damage, and it was said to be caused by prolonged squatting while wearing tight jeans. While walking home she had experienced sudden foot numbness and a bilateral foot drop, and had fallen to the ground unable to move, until she was found hours later.

It seems that not only skinny jeans are known to cause such issues, even body slimming garments such as Spanx can do similar damage to parts of your body. Maybe we can think about kicking our ultra-skinny jean habit, and perhaps opt for a bit of a looser fit.
