As Muslims all over the world gather to prepare and celebrate the holy fasting month of Ramadhan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific commemorates this sacred month with a series of programmes to allow viewers to delve deeper into the Islamic culture and its origins, as well as take viewers on a culinary journey through the Middle East.

TLC will premiere a special series “From The Oven” hosted by Houria Zannoun, an Algerian-born baker whose name is familiar to many in the Middle East. To treat yourself to the sweet and savoury world of baking, tune in to From The Oven from Mondays to Fridays from 22 June – 10 July, 3:00 p.m. on TLC (Astro Channel 707).
World Café Middle East
The week-long celebration includes virtually feasting with World Café Middle East, as Bobby Chinn sets off on an exhilarating tour of street foods, culinary customs and recipes of the fascinating ancient region of the Middle East. On his travels, viewers watch Bobby as he learns about the variety embedded in the term ‘Middle Eastern Cuisine’.
