This June 1st, all milk lovers across the world will be raising their glasses to celebrate World Milk Day. Evidently, milk plays a vital role in our daily diets, being recognised as a staple source of nutrients provided to consumers at an affordable price.
World Milk Day was inaugurated to commemorate milk and dairy products as essential food, as well as an economic resource. With more than 30 countries participating this year, Milkcow Malaysia has proudly partnered with Bright Cow to bring that message to Malaysians.
On June 1st, Milkcow Malaysia, equipped with the freshest milk from Bright Cow, will send their trucks to deliver free milk to various universities around Kuala Lumpur. Students will be able to receive milk via ambassadors as the milk truck reaches every destination. To further spread the message, Milkcow Malaysia will extend its reach to orphanages as well.
Milk contributes calcium intake in the diets of the young and old. Research suggests that having a glass of semi skim milk after exercise is an ideal way to restore body fluids and minerals. Drinking milk after cycling also helps to maintain energy, improve muscle mass and decrease body fat, more effectively compared to carbohydrate based sport drinks.
Milkcow Malaysia aims to highlight the need for milk as part of our daily diet by having this exciting event around Kuala Lumpur. Kindly access Milkcow Malaysia’s Facebook page for more details!
