We’re always on the lookout for budget-friendly drugstore dupes, but we’ll always say no to the beauty black market. While counterfeits may help you save some moolah, that’s where the advantages end.
Phoney makeup like mascara, eyeliner and lip gloss can contain toxic levels of lead, mercury and arsenic. The fake perfumes may have cyanide and human urine in it.
Those factories producing these fake items are also often unhygienic, so rat droppings and poison can make their way into the products, possibly causing allergic reactions.
Tons of counterfeit makeup can be found everywhere in Malaysia, which makes us feel the need to urge all of you to stop. Maybe protecting your bank account is incentive, but the quality of these products are sacrificed, and you do not want to be risking your skin or health.
