Well, not too far away in terms of proximity.
We hear that in Japan, Disney is taking a technological spin and making yet another dream come true with their latest line of official merchandise. Except, these pieces of merchandise will communicate with and for you.
Jumping on the Android bandwagon, the company will be rolling their DM011SH and DM010SH Android 2.3 handsets (read: mobile phones) which will come decorated with the signature Disney insignia, and in sweet fairy tale-esque colours such as pink and white. There’s also a black version which will be made available for the more “low profile” Mickey Mouse fans.
Now, growing up, didn’t you ever want a Disney phone?
The DM010SH is the higher-end version of the two, with a 4-inch 3D 960×540 qHD touchscreen and a 8MP camera, running on a 1GHz processor. The DM011SH, on the other hand, is a waterproof slider phone sporting 842×480 resolution with a 1GHz processor. Oh, what? Disney magic you can touch? Oh, Mickey, you’re so fine!
In conjunction with the launch of these Android 2.3 goodies, Disney has also released a series of super cute applications and Disney-themed content to go with the phones.
Hmm. Will we be getting a Disney App Store as well? Both phones are slated to be released the Japanese market before the end of 2011 (DM010SH this month and DM011SH in December), although the prices have yet to be finalized. Wait for it!
