Britain’s new royal baby who was born on Saturday has just been named Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
Kensington Palace officials just announced the little girl’s name two days after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, displayed her arrival to the world at St. Mary’s Hospital in central London.
The name pays tribute to the girl’s grandmother, Diana, who died in a car crash in Paris in 1997.
Her full title is Her Royal Highness Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge.
The baby is fourth in line to the British throne after her grandfather, Prince Charles, her father, Prince William and her brother, Prince George, who was born in 2013. She is the great granddaughter to U.K.’s Queen Elizabeth II, who is 89 years old.
Welcome to the family, little Charlotte!
