As expected, this documentary will be heartbreaking, especially for the fans of Amy Winehouse.
Thanks to the teaser, we’re able to get a glimpse at just how emotional the long-awaited documentary about Amy Winehouse will be. The documentary is titled, Amy and follows her adventure towards fame and misfortune. It also features early interviews with the singer before her Back to Black days. In the teaser, Amy can be heard saying, “I don’t think I’m gonna be at all famous,” she says when asked how big she thinks she’ll become. “I don’t think I could handle it. I would probably go mad.”
The director Asif Kapadia and producer James Gay-Rees of the documentary described the entire project as “an incredibly modern, emotional and relevant film” about “a once-in-a-generation talent who captured everyone’s attention” on the movie’s Facebook page. Amy is set to be released sometime in the summer to go along with the four-year anniversary of the singer’s death.
