iM4U, Malaysia’s leading youth voluntarism community, ended its nationwide Reach Out Convention and Celebration 2015 tour in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday. Over 3,000 youths gathered under one roof to celebrate the power of voluntarism and the event was officiated by iM4U Mentor YB Senator Dato’ Seri Abdul Wahid Omar, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department.
Reach Out Convention & Celebration 2015 is a series of interactive talk sessions by local and international inspirational speakers with the aim to encourage and nurture voluntarism amongst young Malaysians. It gives the next generation the chance to network, share experiences and become inspired by the speakers whom are spearheading their own social causes.
Some of the speakers included Dr. Wasif Syed, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ivy League Advisor; Datuk Zang Toi, prominent Malaysian fashion designer; Scott Ginsberg, Award-winning blogger and Producer of Nametag TV; Yahya Bakkar, motivational speaker and certified strategic interventionist; Mike Southon, British Author and Entrepreneur as well as Prakash Somosundram, Entrepreneur.
Adding to the celebrations were popular Malaysian talents such as Bunkface, Paperplane Pursuit, Pop Shuvit, Nastia, Froya, DJ Fuzz, Iwere, Mark Adam, Waris, Jakeman, Karmal and Lawa Nie Gang. The highlight of the night was indeed the renown YouTube sensations flown down from the United States, including Just Kidding Films, Wong Fu Productions, Dan Matthews (DANakaDAN), Jun Sung Ahn, Dominic ‘D-Trix’ Sandoval and JRodTwins.
Reach Out Convention and Celebration 2015 was first kicked off on 31 January at Politeknik Seberang Perai, Penang and toured nationwide to Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Kota Kinabalu, Sabah; Politeknik Kuching, Kuching, Sarawak; Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) and Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan, Johor Bahru.
