Just yesterday Kathy Griffin announced that she was leaving Fashion Police, just two weeks after Kelly Osbourne issued a statement on her departure from the show.
Griffin took to Twitter to announce a very lengthy statement saying, “After 7 episodes of Fashion Police, I discovered that my style does not fit with the creative direction of the show & now it’s time to move on.”
She also mentioned in the statement that she did not want to be a part of a “culture of unattainable perfectionism and intolerance towards difference.” We’re sure this had something to do with her Fashion Police co-host Giuliana Rancic being scrutinised for her super insensitive comments that she made about singer and actress Zenday’s dreadlocked hair at the Oscars. Rancic said, I feel like she smells like patchouli oil and weed,” and not a lot of people took that lightly. Even though she issued an apology shortly after, it still wasn’t enough to make long time co-host Kelly Osbourne to stay on the show.
