Kate Spade New York’s Spring 2015 collection signifies fresh starts, taking chances, and the feeling that anything is possible, as the year of adventure begins. The selection of pieces, inspired by ‘escaping the ordinary’, can take you anywhere. Held on February 17th this year in Kuala Lumpur, the presentation was hosted by the General Manager of Kate Spade New York South East Asia and Australia, Elodie Bougenault.
The eventful evening featured 10 looks from the collection, showcasing colours that were poppy and graphic, featuring grass green, black, white, mushroom, hyacinth, and geranium. The prints included a classic black and white stripe, dancing hearts, garden leaves, and multi-floral print.
The highlights of ready-to-wear design details consisted of leather panelling, scallop detailing, lady bug appliqués, neoprene, exterior zipper pulls, and relaxed, oversized silhouettes. The handbag collection included new ranges and refreshed novelty styles, including an oversized heart tote and winking clutch from the February launches. Carrying the whimsical spirit of the brand, bucket hats in tiered raffia and neoprene baseball hats were also seen.
