For a blind Western Screech owl, Zeus sure does have a set of incredible eyes. They look like a wallpaper you would see of the night’s sky with billions of stars lighting up. Found in Southern California, Zeus was injured after he had flown into the wall of the house and hit his head.
But thanks to a visit at the vet and a clean bill of health, the Wildlife Learning Center in Symlar, California became his forever home.
This owl was named after Zeus, the Greek God of the sky and thunder because of his sparkly and dazzling eyes. Unfortunately for Zeus, there’s no such rehabilitation program that caters to blind owl, so his life is spent perching on a desk. It may sound a little sad but he would not be able to survive alone in the wild, so the desk is a much safer place for Zeus.
