Lady Gaga’s medley of the songs from Sound of Music on Sunday at the Oscars was incredibly memorable. The singer reminded everyone of her talent as she took center stage and completely blew everyone and social media away with her performance.
So blown away that Julie Andrews came onstage after Gaga’s medley and gave the singer a big, warm hug that was accompanied with a massive grin on her face. Andrews, who was the star of the famous Sound of Music, much like the audience sat at the Oscars was in complete awe.
“I was deeply honored by the Academy’s lovely tribute to The Sound of Music and especially touched by Lady Gaga’s wonderful performance,” said Julie Andrews to Access Hollywood. “I have always been a fan, but last night we bonded and now I have a new friend.”
