Michele Ferrero, the world’s richest confectionery maker whose Nutella spread is beyond popular, has died at the age of 89.
His chocolate and hazelnut spread helped raise generations of Italians and has defined the way Italians love their sweets.
Besides Nutella, Ferrero is of course best known for its Ferrero Rocher, Kinder Surprise eggs and Tic-Tacs.
Ferrero and his family are on Forbes’ list of the world’s richest billionaires, worth $23.4 billion.
Mr. Ferrero, thank you for filling our lives with all your amazing snacks.
