Grant’s Whisky Chinese New Year Cocktail Recipes

Toast to an auspicious Year with two one of a kind cocktails by Grant’s for the Year of The Goat. Grant’s understands that what gets us through tough times is the support of our loved ones who stand together with us through thick and thin. Using familiar Chinese New Year ingredients and Grant’s 8 Year Old Whisky, you too can create these cocktail recipe to start your new year standing together with friends and family.

Huat Ah! Punch

Huat Ah

Ingredients –

  • 1000ml Cold Brewed Pu’er Tea
  • 200ml Lemon Juice
  • 250gm Light Brown Sugar
  • 700ml Grant’s 8 Year Old
  • 700ml Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
  • 2 Bottles of Champagne

Instructions –
Brew tea overnight in cold water. Add lemon, sugar and tea to a punch bowl, stir to dissolve sugar. Add the Grant’s 8 year old and Sailor Jerry, refrigerate to keep cold. When ready to serve add large block of ice to prevent dilution and top with champagne. Serve with citrus zests and star anise.

Stand Fast Punch

Stand Fast

Ingredients –

  • 400ml Grant’s 8 Year Old
  • 150ml DOM Benedictine
  • 150ml Ginger Liqueur
  • 100ml Ruby Port
  • 100ml Sweet Vermouth
  • 200ml Lemon Juice
  • 200ml Water
  • 50ml Simple Syrup (1:1)
  • 10 Dashes of Angostura Bitters

Instructions –
Add all ingredients into a punch bowl mix extremely well. Refrigerate and allow ingredients to marry. Add larger blocks of ice to prevent too much dilution. Use lemon wheels and ginger slices as garnish and serve.
