Bad news, people! It’s official, the long anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey won’t be made available for viewing in Malaysia? Are you really surprised because we are not!
The Malaysian Film Censorship Board (LPF) has gone as far as banning the erotic movie adaption of the famous novel series. The movie was originally slated to premiere on February 12th but due to it being more “pornography than a movie”, they’ve decided to cancel the entire thing.
Chairman of LPF said, “The board made a decision in view of the film containing scenes that are not of natural sexual content. The content is more sadistic, featuring scenes of a woman being tied to a bed and whipped.”
Local distributor of the film, United International Pictures confirmed that Fifty Shades of Grey will definitely not be shown in Malaysian cinemas.
Guess, we are all just going to have to survive somehow!
